Tackling health inequalities

HealthWin Community Interest Company (CIC) exists to tackle health inequalities across The East Riding and North Lincolnshire. It raises money to help reduce health inequalities in the area. It does this by running a society lottery and working collaboratively with independent charity, People's Health Trust to develop local interventions.

We donate the good causes funds we raise to People's Health Trust, who invests these in communities wishing to make their neighbourhoods even better places to grow, live, work and age.

This grant making trust funds local people who have great ideas about how they can make their neighbourhoods even better places to grow, live, work and age.

Endike Community Care

Endike Community Care were awarded £12,826. This new two-year project is targeted towards over 55s in Hull with memory impairment as a result of dementia who attend a day centre. It aims to enable them to re-engage with their past and encourage a sense of belonging and acceptance in society in spite of their condition. Pictures, sounds, smells and places will be used to ‘jog’ participants’ memories. There will be visits to local museums and galleries.
